Took my daughter and her boyfriend to Lake Success. She caught these 2 brutes on small jointed feather tail lures in 8 - 10 foot of water. We added a dozen trout and at least 8 largemouth bass. Most of the bass were small as the larger ones were stting on nests and not about to eat. We ended up releasing all but the crappie and 7 of the trout. Lost half a dozen fish before ever getting them in the boat! :oops: The weather was great and the fishing even better. Hopefully Porterville keeps the water levels up for a little while this year... :roll:

Wow!! great day at one of my favorite old spots...glad it can still produce some nice stringers!

Great to see that Success still has a few crappie in it :lol: I havent seen a crappie from that lake in years, great job :!: :wink: Thank you for the great report 8)
